The Monkey and the Camel

The beasts of the forest gave a splendid entertainment at which the Monkey stood up and danced. Having vastly delighted the assembly, he sat down amidst universal applause. The Camel, envious of the praises bestowed on the Monkey and desiring to divert to himself the favor of the guests, proposed to stand up in his turn and dance for their amusement. He moved about in so utterly ridiculous a manner that the Beasts, in a fit of indignation, set upon him with clubs and drove him out of the assembly.

It is absurd to ape our betters.

Letter to me

Hey its you when you were 17. Hopefully your not in jail and have a decent job and a hot wife with plentiful funds. Just so you know that its really me, I know how to tie a bunch of cool knots and I have a birth mark on the inside of my right leg. I plan on going to college and finishing with a bachelors degree in animal science, you didn't screw that up did you? Maybe I invented something and your filthy rich, nothing against me but I doubt it, I hope your really good at leather work and building things with it by age 30 because I am pretty good now so, yaa I hope this all ends up working out for me.

Coach Rhodes

Coach Rhodes is a really nice guy and has influenced many students lives here at Childress High School. He's a great track coach, goes to state every year. Every time I wasn't in the greatest mood he would always say something to make me smile like "Wellll lets get this day started" every morning when I would walk in the school. He's an Inspiration to Childress itself.

Non Fiction story

Once upon a time around 1880, there were to cowboys from Texas, retired Texas rangers. Their names were "Guss" and "Woodrow" . They had a herd of cattle of about 700 head that they were moving from south texas to Montana so that they would have the first ranch there. They had lots of fights with indians and lost a few men along the way but they wrangled their horses and picked up some mexican horses along the way made their way to the Montana plains to build an outfit.

Homecoming

Homecoming is all the people who have graduated from Childress High School and come back for one weekend to watch the homecoming football game. We have a spirit week at school to get every body pumped up for the game and they give out prizes to the most spirited people. All together its just a cool week when you have fun and catch up with people that you haven't seen in a while.

H1N1 Virus

Swine influenza is a flu virus usually found in pigs. The virus occasionally changes and becomes infectious in humans. When this happens, the disease becomes a concern to humans, who have little or no immunity against it. This means the virus has the potential to spread quickly around the world. It can be more difficult to treat than the usual, seasonal human flu viruses.

Most people who get the H1N1 flu will probably recover without needing medical care. Doctors, however, can prescribe antiviral medicine to treat people who become very sick with the flu or are at high risk for flu complications.

Im deathly scared of mean red headed women and rattle snakes.

School is good because Im a senior, my classes are easy, I get to judge, and hang out with friends.

Old Mexico, New Mexico, and Colorado are a few places I have visited but I plan on making it to a few of these places in the near future Wyoming, Arizona, Montana, Nevada, and Oregon.

I want to be a boss on a big ranch outfit, I want to ride good horses, I want to be well known for leather work, and I mainly want to please God.

Beowulf

The Wrath of Grendel.

Grendel read a myspace bulletin about the parties being thrown in Herot and killed them for twelve years straight every night while they were asleep.

The coming of Beowulf.

Beowulf got on his Mac Book and read Grendel's Twitter about his killings every night so he got all his warriors together and went to Hrothgar.

The Battle with Grendel

Beowulf and the Danes lie in bed watching the plasma screen while he waits for Grendel. Beowulf gets his victory over Grendel by running him over in his 09 four door chevy duramax diesel.

The Monsters' Lair

Hrothgar and his host celebrate Beowulf's victory over Grendel, they listened to their ipods and played xbox all night. That same night Grendel's mom kidnapped and killed Hrothgar's best friend and carries off the claw that was ripped from her son. The next day the horrified king got a email on his hand held computer that the two monsters had an underwater lair, so he told Beowulf.

The Battle With Grendel's Mother

Beowulf listens to music on his MP3 player while he kills the seabeasts and gets pumped up to kill the "lady monster" and kills her with the special sword.

The Last Battle

Beowulf is honored and becomes king for killing the monster and he even had his own episode on cribs. He goes fishing one day and on his tracker he sees a dragon while he is on his boat so he intends to kill the dragon.

The Spoils

Together, Wiglaf and Beowulf kill the dragon but the king dies and his last request was to bring the treasure the dragon was guarding which was a raptor 660 four wheeler,

The Farewell

Wiglaf denounces the soldiers who deserted Beowulf in his combat with the dragon. The Geats burn their king's body on a great funeral pyre and bitterly lament his death. All of this was televised on MTV2.

My future

College in Lubbock is what my plans are for the next four years, no way of getting around that but Arizona, Wyoming, or Montana is where i see myself about 5 years in my future for the experience. Eventually I plan on being back in Texas with a girlfriend or two, don't like the sound of marriage or kids, thats just something else to pay for.

Parachute

Through out my life I have have had a lot of help, my mom and dad, my granddad, a couple of friends matt and dalton, and my older brother steven.

I'm always giving my parents a hard time and having fun with my friends and there has been times where i have gotten in a bind or a little trouble and it seems like my brother is the first one i talk to when something happens. He's closer to my age then most of my family and he knows personally how it is when you little a little advice or help to get through something and he can always tell me what my best bet is gonna be or what he would do, so I am very thankful to have an older brother who can kind of lead me through certain situations or "pack my parachute", and I plan to do the same for my little brother.
